CDMA Competition Open Squad Training
This year we are excited to announce that CDMA Karate is running an Open Squad format for its competition training, and competing students.
What does this mean?
This is an opportunity for students to train each month with a focus on Kata and Kumite specific to competition. Jiyu Kumite or free sparring is the sport side of karate that will be showcased in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
This is a high energy, focused and fun training session open to all grades. The minimum age requirement is 7 years, unless invited.
We would encourage all students to attend, but please book via office@candomartialarts.co.uk as spaces are limited to 30 people.

What is the commitment?
This year we are encouraging participation! We will be holding practice the first Sunday of each month at 10am. Training lasts 90 minutes. You may be asked to compete at competition if we feel you have the right attitude and skill set. In which case you will be invited to join the CDMA Team and be presented with a team jacket. Students who are part of the open squad can train as often or little with the squad as they wish. Team members must attend all squad sessions and be committed to compete. Team members can train for free, for those not selected there is a mat fee of £5 payable in cash on the day.
What is the benefit?
The world's best Karateka have all been top level competitors without exception. You will improve your karate, have extra personal coaching and become part of a team.
