Ground Breaking BJJ Charity event!
This Thursday at the Abingdon Dojo, home of Can Do Martial Arts, a unique event is happening in the UK's BJJ calendar. Hundreds of students from several counties, along with several high level Black Belts, and the head of UK BJJ, Master Mauricio Gomes 8th Degree Coral Belt, are giving up their time in order to support the Rainbow Trust, a charity that works to support terminally ill children.
From 8pm - 10.30pm we will play witness to a variety of coaching in the art and science of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, with Maestre Gomes opening the event. Our own professors Kev Capel (2nd Degree Black Belt) and Black Belt coach Chris Fensom will be joining in and sharing their knowledge on some of their favourite techniques.
We are also honored to host British Judo legend Caroline Kinnane, and RGA Black Belts Dave Plested, and Daniel Lewis, coaching alongside senior students of RGA Bucks, and coaches from 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu too.
This event is the brainchild of head BJJ coach at Can Do, Chris Fensom. Last year we had a great time with students from the local RGA network and their instructors, this year we are honored to host the event again and have so many coaches offer their time for free from all over the South of England.
The event is open to anyone and is FREE, but we will ask you for a donation towards this brilliant charity. We are expecting over 100 students in attendance for this ground breaking event, so don't be late!
