Sam medals for England!
On Sunday 1st October, student and coach at Can Do Martial Arts, Sam Coxon represented JKS England once more at an international event. The prestigious British Karate Federation's International Open, was attended by hundreds of competitors from around the UK and abroad and the standard was phenomenally high.
As part of the elite team, Sam alongside team mates Jake and Tom, fought well and managed to secure the Bronze medal for England.
Later in the day Sam also fought in the veterans category (35 years+) and was beaten in the semi final by an international Zimbabwean fighter, resulting in the Bronze medal.
We are very proud of Sam and his continued success and achievements in Karate and for JKS England. The hours he puts in outside of his lesson time has really been paying off this year. A real demonstration that sustained effort, commitment and belief in your goals will lead to the result you want.
Well done Sam!
