Boxing Fit - CDMA embraces the UK's oldest art
Boxing is one of the oldest martial arts forms in the world and has long been established as a professional and amateur sport in the UK.
Boxing is also a superb way to reach a high level of fitness, develop confidence and highly effective defensive skills.
At CDMA we are keen to promote this excellent art in a safe and positive way, ensuring that our junior students are developing their skill set in a positive, fun environment.
After many requests from current students, parents and from the community, we have decided to develop our own boxing programme and are very excited to have former Primary School Head Teacher, and Oxford Varsity Boxing Coach Zaheer Ahmed leading the programme.
Zaheer competed as an amateur boxer for 15 years, he has participated in National Championships as well as represented the midlands division on numerous occasions.
Zaheer started coaching 10 years ago, first as an assistant coach with Oxford University amateur boxing club and then as Head Coach at Abingdon amateur boxing club until 2015. He is level 2 qualified with the ABA of England and will be a fantastic new addition to our Academy. Please say hello when you see him at the Dojo!
Our NEW Kids Boxing class (6-12yrs) runs every Monday at 6-7pm at the Abingdon Dojo.
