Small things do add up - time to start
The small things do add up
I know, I know. It’s almost Christmas so why not start everything after the festivities?
Good question, WHY NOT?…
Well for starters it won’t be any easier on the other side of the Calendar. You’re motivation to get to the gym, your class, your garage etc., will be the same as it is now, its just easier to pretend that “in a few weeks” i’ll be ready is true.
Let’s say that you are now at the other side of Christmas, January 9th. You look back with a smile, because you’ve already worked out for 6 weeks, and you’re noticing the difference, you’re down a size in your clothes, you feel more vibrant and stronger. You are surrounded by people who are starting their “New Year’s Resolutions” and looking at you enviously.
How does that feel? Do you still want to put off today what you can do tomorrow?
Perhaps you feel there’s not enough time? too much on?
Well have you heard of the compound effect? In essence, the small things add up to big things. Every rep you do, every set, every sprint, jog or walk makes a difference. If it didn’t then there would be no point to working out in the first place, it would literally have no effect on the body. But it does. Not only does working out change you physically it empowers you, strengthens your mental fortitude and self-efficacy. Basically you will start feeling really good about you.
So here is a little work out to get you feeling strong:
