Safe on The Streets – A free personal safety course for women
Across Oxfordshire, there was a jump of 65% in the number of harassment and stalking offences reported to police last year. Other personal offences committed against women have also increased across the region, except for South Oxfordshire where there was a significant fall (Oxford Mail).
We shouldn't have to teach women how to keep safe, but unfortunately the reality is that we do.
By taking part of our Safe on The Streets (SOS) course is you will gain confidence from increased awareness of potential threats, you will feel more confident having a "road map" of action to take, and you will be confident knowing what you have learnt is based on principles which are easy to remember, rather than forgetful techniques.
The course will help you:
• Understand the key concepts of personal safety
• Have a roadmap of what to do in any situation as it arises to stay safe
• Have the knowledge and skill to deal with it effectively in order to escape and gain safety.
Can Do Martial Arts has produced a video course that will enable you to learn and coach this invaluable life skill to yourself, friends or family.
