Meet Sensei Virginia Richardson
Virginia is the co-owner of Can Do Martial Arts alongside her husband. Virginia focuses on the logistical aspects of the Academy as well as assisting with the instruction of the Karate classes. Virginia started learning Karate in 2005 and in March 2009 she passed her 1st Dan in Shotokan Karate!
Virginia has been involved in the health and fitness industry for the last 10 years as a freelance instructor/trainer teaching high impact exercise classes including Body Combat and RPM to adults as well as personal training. She also teaches Pilates.
Virginia studied at Canterbury Christ Church University, gaining an honours degree in Science and Sports Science as well as various coaching qualifications including athletics, swimming and netball.
For the last 6 years she has worked as a full time Event Manager running various congresses, conferences and meetings around the world including helping with the Commonwealth Games 2002, the Rugby World Cup 2003 and the Olympic Games in 2004. In 2008 she left to work full time with her husband in Can Do Martial Arts!
