Meet Sensei Judith James
Judith started studying shotokan karate in November 2005 as she had been inspired by her son Harry James who had started classes six months earlier at Blewbury school. In December 2008 Harry obtained his 1st dan black belt and Judith is proud to say that on 28th March this year (2009) she joined him.
Judith’s daughter Lauren James also attends Blewbury school karate classes and she is training hard at the moment as she too will be grading for her black belt this year (at the age of 9)!
Judith is also a qualified veterinary nurse and attended Berkshire College Of Agriculture near Maidenhead during her training. At present she still works with animals as a dog walker, puppy trainer and feline behavioural counsellor, all of which she enjoys very much.
Judith lives in Blewbury with her husband Phil who doesn’t do karate (yet!!), her two children (that do do karate) and her two cats ![]()
